Why this exists

Policy is moving faster than training.

Sri Lanka has committed to a national adaptation plan, a low-carbon transport transition, restored forests and mangroves, and a circular approach to waste. Those commitments land on the desks of officers who were never trained in any of them.

Until now there has been no open, no-cost place to learn the fundamentals - the vocabulary, the mechanisms, and the questions worth asking before a decision is signed. That is the gap this platform closes, and nothing more: it teaches foundations well, rather than teaching everything badly.

Free, permanently

No paid tier, no trial, nothing withheld behind an upgrade. Raising the country's baseline is the whole point.

No prerequisites

Written for capable people who were never trained in this subject, not for specialists who already were.

Grounded locally

Sri Lankan policy, Sri Lankan case studies, Sri Lankan constraints. Not a generic course with the country name swapped in.

The modules

Five foundations. Start where your work does.

Each one is self-contained, so there is no order to follow and nothing to complete first. Enrol in as many as you like - they are all free, and your progress is kept separately for each.

What you will cover

  • Hazard, exposure & sensitivity
  • Reading climate risk data
  • Vulnerability indicators
  • Ground-truthing an assessment

Complete all 8 lectures and their quizzes to earn the Climate Vulnerability Assessment certificate.

  2. 2

    Enrol in a module

  3. 3

    Work through the lectures

Short lectures you can take at your own pace, between meetings or after hours. Progress saves as you go, on any device.

    5–6 hours per module
  4. 4

    Pass the quizzes

A short quiz closes each lecture and confirms the ideas landed. Retake any of them as many times as you need - this is a foundation, not a filter.

    Unlimited attempts
  5. 5

Finish every lecture and quiz and the certificate issues immediately, carrying a unique reference anyone can check.

    Issued the moment you finish

The certificate
